TPS Checking

Hi everybody,

I'm new in to beetles and specially on 1600i, so please forgive my ignorance. I have a 1997 mexican beettle, afeter reading some articles about how to check Throttle Positioning valve angle, i used VAG COM 409.1, but once in "measuring blocks" i couldn't find the "group" where the angle must be checked.

On the other hand, is it normal the fuel pump runs continuesly when i turn contact key without starting the engine?? ......Just don't stop as all vehicles i know do and a red light "((!))" it's on ....????

No, thats not normal, I think.
My 1600i only turns the fuel pump on for 1 or 2 seconds when I turn the contact key.
