Engine starting but no power

Hello everyone from France,

My car is starting well, but as soon as I try to accelerate the engine is shutting down, like there is no air or no fuel.

I have checked that fuel is coming, I have checked my throttle butterfly potentiometer is ok, and my connections are ok. It seems that I don't have the 5v supplying the potentiometer.

So it seems that it could be the ECU but i would like to be sure beacause of the price of a new one (I have found one on a french website for 440 euros).

Any idea how to solve this problem?

Hi Carlos,

I had the same problem, in my case was a faulty fuel pump relay (Nº 80), try buying a new one, but be carefull a WV part supplier sold me a Nº 167 Relay, assuring it will do the job, but only produced a big shotcut.
