Hi there,

I need to replace the fuel pump on my 1600i however the original part VW 043919051 is only available from China.

Does anyone know if I can use a different, better quality fuel pump as a replacement?

or Gebrueder Behling in Northern Germany (http://www.gebrueder-behling.de/)

Both can supply you with a new fuel pump, I have got my replacement pump from Omnicar
last year, it works perfectly.

Is the pump you bought made in China or is it a OEM Pierburg version?

Hi Paul,

as far as I can remember, there was no “Made in xy” on the pump. I think Hubertus is right,
it is “Hecho en Mejico” . As long as it works without problems everything is fine no matter
where it comes from…
