Hi guys, I have a 1999 Mexican beetle with the 1600i engine and I'm wanting to get more horse power. I have bigger wheels and a new air conditioning system and now it's lacking power. I always heard that the 1776 is the most reliable engine, other than the 1600i. I would like to increase the horse power enough without having to upgrade the injectors or play with the computer as I don't have access to anything related to the computer and I don't have the knowledge either.

My engine it's all stock by the way, it's working fine but it starting to feel tired, my mom has a 2002 and it feels a very quick when you hit the throttle, it feels like a different car.

What are you guys doing to get the most out of it while keeping a reliable engine?
