Hi guys, I would like to increase the power on my 1999 mexican beetle and would like to know what can be done without having to mess with the computer and injectors, while keeping a healthy and reliable engine.

Just a Tafel chip and the K&N Filter... 56PS.

Was told I could go from 1600 to 1772cc but since this is a more modern beetle I don't know if it as easy as the older ones, this been fuel injection and with the computer.

Would they be 90.5mm x 69mm? Been a fuel injection model with computer, would i have to do something else or just pistons? I'm in the USA so I believe it would be hard to get the chip plus I don't know how to tyne it when it comes to computers. I think I rather do the mechanical part if that can be done without having to play with the car computer. Want something I can do my self to save money.

Ok guys I did an engine compression test and need to rebuild the engine and probably I will go with 90.5mm but I need to know what else I can do for more power. Also what specific chip with a part number and where can i get the chip for this cars. I'm in USA, a website would be great for the chip.

Need to take care of this as soon as possible.

Anymore suggestions? Need to start working on my engine soon and haven't been able to find much info on this beetles and would like to get the extra power. Been told I could go 90.5mm, 92mm and 94mm but I'm more concern about having a healthy and reliable engine as this is a car I use every day to commute. What would be the best option?

Was told also that it shouldn't be a problem with the car computer and injectors, is this true?

More info on the chip would be great and a link where to get one as I'm in United States.
