I have now moved to a Megasquirt ECU for my 1600i.

I know the idle timing is 6 BTDC but is the timing the same but does anyone know the timing of the ACD engine during cranking? (start up)

Yes. It is not before, it is late.

Around 4-6 degress late till 300rpm.

The problem I have it that it does not start like it used to with the factory ECU.

I have tried everything - more gas, less gas and it still takes about 2-3 seconds to start.

With factory it would start in 1/2 second but I don't know how to make the settings the same. My timing for cranking is set at 6 degrees.

That has to do with the synchronisation of the timing. The MS and the Trijekt start ignition only when the ECU is synchron to the motor. This takes time... 2-3 seconds.

I have exactly the same problem. Cranking is always 2-3 seconds. It does not start faster...

Yes, mine as to synchronise too but I have set it to 2 engine cycles which is no time at all. I watched your video and mine is quicker than that but still not factory.

Hard to figure out what else can be done to make it start faster.
