Can it work properly on our 1600i

their parts look realy nice.
But as nearly all products in this market, they only accept OBDII protocol. But the 1600i ECU uses an older protocol.

Will the ScanGaugeII work on my vehicle that was purchased outside of the US and Canada?
The ScanGauge requires the vehicle to be either OBDII or EOBD compatible. In the US and Canada, cars and light trucks were required to be OBDII compatible starting in 1996. In Europe, EOBD was phased in between 2002 and 2004.

So i think there is no way to use it with the 1600i ECU.
By the way, the 1600i has no electrical signal for the driven distance and also no output of the amount of used gas.
